re handouts that are Cluster-Specific
I think I could benefit by preparing a handout, sharing it during the session, hearing feedback on how useful it is, then afterwards updating it, before it will be posted anywhere. I hope you all can see this comment. Thanks. JJD.

that's fine, you can bring it with you in hard copy instead of linking from here.

If you have comments to make about the page, go ahead and make them here. If you revise text, you can do it without commenting on the page, add a commment here instead.

re: Ag experiment station. I don't really have any answer to the question, it's something we can pursue but I'm not sure I want to bring it up if I don't have anything to offer.

Topic probably is not of interest to most ext people; but, topic does come up, for example Jasmeet Judge's five huge docs in Jan now in EDIS were originally Ag Rs Station.

Diana,
How did you plan on doing this symposium? Are you going to do a PowerPoint presentation and introduce us to attendees? Is it hands-on with multiple stations? Should we meet to get an idea of how this is going to go?

I'm sortof organizing what to cover in the wiki now and pulling resources in. I think a 3 hour powerpoint might be deadly, but I can't see having lots of hands on with 35 people either. Should I request laptops for each of the cluster editors, and at some point break out to allow small group advising/demonstrating?

re "known issues" on main page. I just inserted a sort of query at end of list of known issues, re table and what marion advised.

moved comment from text of page: adding here by Joyce: one doc, table, i made a change to one line in a cell and saved it; then I made a change to another line in same cell and EAT would not save it; Marion advised maybe the amount of data being saved was so large EAT had a problem with saving per se and that this one problem that I had should be looked into to learn why it happened. I have not looked into it yet.JJD

please make comments on the comment page, not in the text of the page itself. If you want to pursue the problem with the particular document, you can work with Raja and Howard on it. We've been holding off on releasing 2.6 for good until we can resolve that issue, but it is difficult since there are so many improvements.

I like the idea of breakout for small group advising. That is, I like it. I do not see any names on list that is author from Cluster Five, except for one. One is not a group :-). So, I don't think I should be advising someone in Susan's Cluster, for example. What are options for format of this session?

I do not see any names from this Cluster, on the list of people who will be in this session. there is one who may be in Dept of ABE. I am thinking I will just attend, and if there IS a break out, I will meet with that one person - no handout necessary. Comments?

re main page, introduction to editors and staff
nearly everyone with whom I have spoken in the cluster thinks I am a part of the EDIS Unit, but I explain that I am not.

It seems that the EDIS person is affiliated with people in other Units such as OIT and ICS.

Yes. If editors at the meeting can have a laptop for breakout groups, the laptop will be helpful for in Darry's terms, hands on demo of features of EAT, IF the laptop functions when needed. Good idea, Darryl, hand on. Thanks.

I will need to visit Diana's office to experiment with using a laptop.

oh. so, to what does the P refer? I thought the PB referred to Publications B___.
Apparently not, if the B refers to Butter.

Peanut Butter?
Here is the link to the CREC Extension pubs submission guidelines: http://www.crec.ifas.ufl.edu/extension/publications/index.htm
Two forms are involved: an Extension Publication Manuscript Review Form (used by reviewers) and the 2840 Extension Transmittal form, which has to be signed by Joe Noling and Harold Browning.

Diana, style unclear on main page.

1 - 1/2 means one to one half hour.

Is this the meaning you intended?

nope, that wouldn't make sense, but I will change it to 90 minutes.
