Usually there is an ALL-IFAS email sent out when a change in department, center, or program leadership occurs. When the change goes into effect,
- Is the new approver in the ERS?
- If not, add him/her to the system. Be sure to flag the appropriate approver status
- If in the system, edit the existing record to the new approver status
- Remove approver status from the approver who is stepping down.
- Notify the new approver of his or her role in the ERS
