No formal policies or procedures have yet been put in place for handling these materials in EDIS. With any non-text materials, it is very important to provide textual information. This gives something for search engines to find, and gives the user enough information to know whether to click through a link or not. A script should be made available in the EDIS access page. Information about the type of file and the playing time should be included as well. Additional contributers besides the content authors may need to be acknowledged.

Powerpoint Presentations

Can be rendered as a protected pdf file and attached to an html script page in EDIS in place of a document pdf. Wordmark, publication history, and publication number should be prominent in the powerpoint.

Audio Clips

We are involved with a project to bring Family Album Radio audio clips into EDIS.
